Recently I was waiting for the next train to arrive while on the subway, so I started looking at the ads on the walls to chew on something for my restless mind.
After glancing at a few, I saw one which was trying to sell a fancy fur coat. That tossed my mind to think whether people who take the subway, will ever be able to afford something like this, or alternatively, if they are 1% ers, will their attitudes(pretentious or not) towards animal rights convince them never to indulge in such animal torture ever.
So why did these coat manufactures choose a medium which to me came across as a very bad choice?
Were they trying to set a new standard and break the glass ceiling? Or perhaps they perceived the whole concept of farming animals for their fur a pure economic concept and saw it for its economic value only, nothing more, nothing else. Hence the conundrum.
The mediums we choose dictate our choices towards target audiences. Following standards or breaking them is a choice. But death by wrong choice always a risk.
Choose well.
