Amongst the midst of all this EURO crisis, I decided to dig up this document which goes over how the EURO came about its existence. I find it ironic that at the bottom of this page, the fine-print states that the two parallel lines depict stability of the currency. Perhaps next time, the ECB might want to include two non-parallel, squiggly lines just to be more representative.
