I don't know a lot about the New Zealand markets but this chart is interesting. Perhaps it has something to do with the Hobbit coming out? I mean, they do have it on their official currency. Then again, I'm sure someone will drop the line-'correlation doesn't imply causality' in my face, so lets just leave that one open.
